Idea 1: For idea 1 I was thinking of making a series of shirts inspired by different forms of art that make me feel certain emotions. Ideally I was thinking of 3 shirts that explore pocket placement in unconventional positions. While my main goal is to embroider different flowers on each shirt. I would like to emphasize that each flower and shirt play different roles. Each flower will be based off the emotions i feel from each piece of inspiration I research. Whether it be a song, poem or other shirts.   Ideally I would like to use the color blue, and white and use different methods of shibori to achieve different patterns. Yellow flowers make happy, purple ones make me feel euphoric, and blue ones make me feel neutral so those flowers will portray my moods on each shirt. Idea 2: For my second idea I would like to explore the same concept of unorthodox or convenient pocket placement but within blankets. I would like to think of these blankets being a "helper" to everyday lo

Organization: First Baptist Church Seaford DE Mission Statement: Empowering people to live day to day through their relationship with Christ. Reach out to others, show love and share the love God gives to each and everyone of us. Embrace diversity and people from all nooks and crannies because Jesus loves all people.  https://www.facebook.com/fbcseaford/ Idea 1  When presenting this idea, they liked it very much because of how simple it was and the colors that were used. When portraying the love of God, the color red is closely related to the blood that he shed on the cross. Originally we wanted to portray the love of God towards all races but by agreeing on the word "all" it was clear that all means all. All shapes sizes and colors.  Idea 2 For this proposal we wanted to see what it would look like with the colors basically inverted. We also wanted to maybe have another tagline that articulated God's love for all people in a different way. When speaking on it further w

I wasn't necessarily inspired by other people, my goal was to use my creativity and my own ideas and see how they come out. I am overall happy with my final outcomes and once I glue or sew them all together, I will update my blog to show my dog off with it haha!

For the 2nd piece of cloth that I dyed pictured at the  bottom right I folded the square cloth in half and then folded one have into a triangle and rolled it up completely until it looked like mini burrito. I used 2 cups of water, 1/2 a tablespoon of turmeric and boiled it for 5 minutes. For the 3rd one I used 4 cups of water, 2 1/2 tablespoons of turmeric and boiled for 10 mins. I did not fold this piece of cloth I only crumbled it up and through it in to boil. For the 1st dyed piece of fabric I used 4 cups of fabric, 4 tbsp of turmeric and boiled for  5 minutes. For this boil I folded it into as many triangles as I could. For the final piece of fabric I used 2 cups of water and one table spoon of turmeric and boiled for 5 minutes. I folded this piece into as many squares as I could. I think that my favorites so far are the first and the 3rd one. The 3rd one is the darkest one that came out and I'm really digging this color.  This is the first half of the fold I used for the 2n
